CRITICAL THREATS YOU NEED TO KNOW

HOME INVASIONS

HOME INVASIONS

HOME INVASIONS

  • In the U.S., 1 in 36 homes will experience a burglary or home invasion every year. (Bureau of Justice Statistics).
  • On average, a burglary occurs every 25.7 seconds in the United States. This includes both home invasions and break-ins. (FBI).
  • In over 20% of home invasions, the intruder is armed with a firearm, and many others carry weapons like knives, crowbars, or blunt objects.

ACTIVE SHOOTER

HOME INVASIONS

HOME INVASIONS

  • 2 million Americans report being victims of workplace violence each year. (OSHA)
  • 45% of workplace violence incidents occur in healthcare and education settings.
  • Active shooter incidents in the U.S. are on the rise with 229 incidents occurring from 2019 to 2023. This increase underscores the growing threat and need for preparation.
  • Over 40% of active shooter incidents occur in businesses, 24% in schools, and 13% in public places. These high-traffic areas are prime targets, underscoring the critical need for training in these environments.

BLEEDING

SELF DEFENSE

  • Bleeding is the leading cause of preventable death: According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), uncontrolled bleeding is the leading cause of death in trauma patients. It’s also a leading cause of death in accidents that occur at home.
  • It only takes 3-5 minutes to bleed out from life threatening injuries.
  • You have a higher chance of survival with immediate intervention. Proper bleeding control by a bystander can reduce the chances of death from severe bleeding by up to 50%.
  • First responder response time varies but often exceeds 15 minutes.

SELF DEFENSE

  • Criminals and aggressors look for soft targets—people distracted by phones, rushing to meetings, or simply unaware of their surroundings.
  • Situational awareness isn’t about fear—it’s about foresight. It means being mentally present, knowing how to read a room, recognize patterns, and detect subtle shifts in behavior or environment that could signal danger.
  • People trained in self-defense are more likely to detect early warning signs, avoid risky situations, and help others in emergencies.
  • Just 1 hour of situational awareness training can dramatically improve reaction times and decision-making.
